01. Mount Monadnock- This Sunday!
Just a reminder that this Sunday @ 7:30 am a pretty good group of us will be meeting at the studio to trek out to Jaffrey NH to climb one of the most popular mountains in New England. Anyone interested in joining us is more than welcome to come along. This is a family friendly event so if you have children/spouses/etc who would be interested in coming along, they as welcome as well. 02. 4th of July Special Workout
We live in the best county in the world so what better way to celebrate it’s birthday than with a workout. But not just any workout, a little combination of everything. But that’s not all! We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave so why not go along with that theme…. This workout will be FREE! That’s right, FREE! All you need to do is reserve a spot ahead of time by letting me know you’ll be coming. Respond to this email or email me directly at jeff@studio38fitness.com.

03. Anniversary Party- UPDATE
We initially were going to have our anniversary party on a Saturday night in July but after much review and consideration we’ve decided to move it to Sunday July 27th @ 4 PM. We’re going to have a little late afternoon FIESTA! Heidi and Chico Barraza are still being gracious enough to host in their beautiful new house and let me tell you, they know how to host a party. This will be a can’t miss event. Please RSVP to jeff@studio38fitness.com.

04. 1/2 Marathon Training Starting
Last week I told you how I’m going to be running in this years 1/2 marathon in Newport RI so this week I’m letting you know when training will start. And the lucky day will be Saturday July 26th. We’re going to start with 2 miles and build up every week until we’re ready for the half. Anyone interested is welcome to join. Training will be FREE!!!! Come on down and join us on the 26th.

05. Ever Wonder When The Treadmill Was Invented?
The treadmill is the most popular piece of equipment at the gym today and it’s no wonder. The treadmill has been around for many, many years and Tom Higgins from Life Fitness wrote a great article on it’s history and where it stands today. Check out that article here:

TRY THIS WORKOUT
Have you tried one of our 5X5 classes? Well you’re about too. Follow this 30 minute workout and you”ll know exactly what it is like.
1. Run for 5 minutes at 85-90% of your max.
2. Perform each of the following exercises for 30 seconds each then repeat on time:
Squat jumps/ Mt. climber/ Split jumps/ Lateral hops/ Squat hold
3. Back to a 5 min run.
4. Perform the following each for 30 seconds and repeat one time:
Pushups/ shoulder Taps/ Bicycle crunch/ Seated twist/ Bench dips
5 Run for 5 min
6. Each of the following for 1 minute:
Wall sit/ Pushup flexed arm hold/ Plank with reach and tap out in front/ High knee/ Pushups

TRACK WORKOUTS ON THURSDAY NIGHTS
For all interested parties we’ll be conducting track workouts every Thursday night for the next 3 weeks at Stoneham High School. The track at the high school is located at the rear right, behind the school. All drop ins are $10. We start at 6:30 SHARP!

WHO LIKES MONEY?
The month of July is client referral month here at the studio. What that mean is anyone who refers someone to the studio in the month of July and that person signs up for a 12 week training program the referrer will receive $100 CASH!!! The person who refers the most people over the month (minimum of 3 people) will win a new IPAD!! Email Jeff for more information.
