01. Track Program Starts Tomorrow Night
Please be sure to let us know if you plan on taking part in our 4 week track program beginning tomorrow night at Stoneham High School. We will start promptly at 6:30 PM and it should last about 35-40 minutes.
Cost: This is free for all personal training clients, $20 for all semi-private training clients and $32 for all others.
02. Who’s Climbing With Us?
On June 29th a group of people will be traveling to Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH to give it a go. We’ll meet at the studio @ 7:30 and caravan out to the mountain. We should be back between 2 and 3 PM.
All interested parties should let me know and sign up at the studio.
03. Try This Ab/Back Routine
It’s that time of the year when all I hear is “I wish I felt a little tighter throughout my midsection”. Give this 15 minute ab/back routine a try and you’ll be on your way to feeling tighter in no time. Any questions on what the exercises are? Use google or youtube for a quick answer. All exercises are done while laying on the ground:
1. Side plank with a dip- 45 seconds each side
2. Bicycle crunches- 30 seconds
3. Left leg straight up to the sky, right leg straight out 6 inches off the ground, oblique crunch to the left leg- 45 seconds. Then switch sides for 45 seconds
4. Plank- 1 minute
5. Lay flat on your stomach with arms straight out above your head- upper/lower body raises- 30 seconds
6. Seated twist- 45 seconds
7 Standard Crunch with a 2 second pause up top- 20 Reps
8 V-sits 30 seconds
Repeat all of this 1 time.
04. 5K Club
I’m in the process of deciding which 5K walk/runs we want to participate in for July, August and September. If anyone has some recommendations on some good ones please let me know. We’re open to all suggestions.
05. Newport RI. Half Marathon
I’ve decided on the Newport Half Marathon for this fall since I couldn’t do Boston’s Run to Remember due to my foot injury. This race takes place on Sunday October 12 at 8 AM. It’s a great way to stay focused throughout the summer and offset all the social activities we take part in. 07. Healthy Snacks
