Meet one of our spin instructors

Lauren Mabardy

Lauren has been an athlete her entire life, and she grew up swimming competitively and played softball.  Lauren attended Babson College, continuing to swim, and nurtured her love of culture and adventure by completing a Semester at Sea. Upon graduation, she fostered her love of sports and business and began her career working for the World Champion New England Patriots and is currently employed by the Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins.
Playing sports had been both a passion and hobby — and working in the sports and entertainment industry made it a dream come true!  Spending long hours around professional athletes inspires Lauren to continue her quest to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle.  She works out with a trainer (none other than Jeff Devine) and participates in the many group classes his studio offers.  And after taking spinning religiously for three years, she finally decided to pursue her spin certification and she has been teaching consistently since February at two prestigious health clubs (Studio 38 Fitness and Beacon Hill Athletic Club).  Lauren strives to provide tough workouts using creative play lists, with music to inspire and motivate her students, as well as test their endurance.  She is an excellent instructor and possesses the ability to incorporate brand new clients into her classes that are filled with her loyal followers.  Her encouraging attitude is contagious.  In Lauren’s opinion, “Hey, we all had to start at the beginning, so come give spinning a try!”
Lauren currently resides in Melrose and holds certifications in AHA CPR/AED and MADD DOGG Spinning.

Way to go Lauren! I didn’t know you were a swimmer. I love to swim too!

Lauren’s classes are awesome! I love the music, the fact that Lauren has a smile on her face the whole time (still haven’t figured out how she manages that while spinning) and she does a great job of letting us know what’s next, how much longer we have left on a particular interval, and motivating us to give it our all until the very end. So lucky to have her at Studio 38!
