What Jeff’s Points Look Like Today

So, just to give everyone an idea of how to point yourself, I’m going to post my own for today.  Here you go as follows:

No sweets/treats/baked goods – 5 pts

No Booze – 3 pts

No purchasing meals- 7 pts

45 min strength/cardio – 4 pts

workout with a buddy – 3 pts

Post in the blog – 4 pts

Total: 26 Pts

Now keep in mind, not every day is going to be like this.  I’m going to have my day’s where I’m sure I’ll only have 10 or 15 pts.  Do the best you can and keep track.  Remember to send your points to me by 9 AM tomorrow morning.  Good luck!!

Where do we send our points? Are you keeping track of everyone’s points everyday?

    I’m confused by your points…

According to your email, you stated that there would be NO double dipping between points. However, according to what you have calculated, you have included working out with a buddy and 45 min strength/cardio. Does this mean that if we participate in an exercise class, we can also count that as 30-minutes of cardio training or strenghth training (or both)?

    Could you please clarify?

    • Jeff says:

Double dip means you can’t take double points that count towards one particular workout. Working out with a buddy only counts when you and a friend workout independently of classes or training etc. For example, If you and some guy named Pete decide to go for a half hour jog then you would get 2 for the run and 3 for doing it with a buddy…. Sessions and classes are excluded.

So you’re saying the workout with a buddy can accompany strength training, cardio training, strength/cardio combo, or workout of the week? As long as you do it with a friend of course.

Hey Jeff – thanks for doing this great program and for being such an inspiring trainer! You ROCK! It takes some thought to overcome a normal everyday reaction to eat something as I found on my first day when offered a sweet treat (BANANA BREAD YUM!) while having tea with my sister in law…but after saying yes – I remembered the challenge – thought oh I will have it and not get the points and then said NO I am doing this FOR ME and also realized I really did not even want it – I was just social eating!!

Hey Jeff – Looking forward to Tabata shortly! That is such a great workout! Thank you for bringing it to Studio 38! See you soon!

Definitely, the sweet treat is going to be a tough one. I should be able to get through the week ok, but on weekends my sweet tooth is calling to me! And with Thanksgiving pies coming up, mmmm, my favorite.
Thanks for the good workout yesterday Jeff. The stairs definitely got to my calves this week, ouch!
